We started to print our finished magazines. Myself and a classmate were the first to learn how to do it, then we will teach the next classmates and so on.
The process for setting up to print is as follows:
- In you Indesign file you go to File- Print
- Under printer select printer 172.16.181.145 – hold
- Open Fiery workstation
- Make sure pages are selected to all and not spreads
- Click the printer -second button the the left – it will bring up a box
- Make sure the right printer is selected
- Scroll down to Printer Options
- Click the i next to Printer features
- Make sure 2 sides is selected on Print type
- and Plain paper is selected under paper type
- Jog the paper and make sure its all the right paper, then load in tray 4
- Make sure Tray 4 is selected under Paper tray
- Then click print- it will go over to fiery
- go to preferences and make sure top binding in selected
- then click print
- check over your work and make changes as needed
- Load good paper in bypass tray
- go to preferences and click thick 1
- Click print and your good to go.
